We live up the street from iAlive and always noticed a large crowd. A friend then told us we had to go! We were so impressed! The food was amazing, large portions and then menu has something for everyone. They also have good options for kids but you have to ask (its not on the menu). Make reservations because they get very busy!
We heard so much talk about this Portuguese restaurant that we had to try it. We did make reservations ahead of time since it was a Friday evening. Good thing because the place isn't that big. We were looking for some good Portuguese food but was a little disappointed. No salt cod or octopus so I ordered the Bife A Portuguesa. The food was plentiful and tasty as were the cocktails. So plentiful that we needed doggie bags to take home. Got ourselves a second meal for the next day. The staff were friendly and right on top of it. Would go back to try another Portuguese specialty.
This was our first visit, and it certainly won't be our last. Our server, Kathleen, was both friendly and attentive. From the stuffed mushrooms appetizer to our prime rib, lobster, and broccoli Alfredo, the food was absolutely sensational—served piping hot. Everything tasted fresh and packed with flavor, and the portions were extremely generous. We highly recommend Alive!
My husband ordered the stuffed swordfish. He absolutely loved it. It is a generous portion and he almost couldn't finish it. I had the baked seafood dish. The server was so friendly and attentive. I highly recommend.
