we had the best afternoon, friendly, professional, funny and could not be more attentive. I would highly recommend this for family/friends, I will book again to bring my mother with homemade scones mmmmm the eating is fresh, tasty and there are many possibilities. we had a 4yr old, who was taken care of with their own teekanne (filled with juice) sandwiches and ice cream, cannot fail this service. ps, thanks for my s... Lovely barge on the river by Kings Meadow. We reserved a table as gets busy. Friendly staff. We had the full cooked breakfast the Whittington vintage cream tea (they did us a selection of cakes). Between 4 of us, there was nothing left on the plate!.
An excellent leisurely Vintage Afternoon Tea cruise on the Thames. The owners gave us a warm welcome and were very hospital and friendly with plenty of food and drink. Highly recommended. We will return next summer for another cruise. Thankyou for a lovely day, Whittington's.
What a lovely little gem of a restaurant. Lovely setting on the river, good food, well priced but what set it apart was the service. Our server was so welcoming and friendly. She really made the experience. Will definitely be back.
We reserved the barge for my father's 60th birthday, and it was absolutely fantastic - I cannot recommend it enough! There were 9 of us and we enjoyed a delicious 'high tea' featuring homemade cakes and scones, as well as tea and coffee, and a selection of sandwiches (they even made a vegetarian option for us). They even sang happy birthday to my dad! What's more, our dogs were allowed on the boat, which was amazing. The service was friendly and exceptional - what a great team they have. It was a lovely experience cruising down the river, and we can't wait to go back again soon.
Really good experience. Booked but were delayed but no problem for the owners who promptly found us a table when we arrived. Lovely sandwiches and loose leaf tea no teabags here! It's a lovely location, nicely furnished and quite roomy inside. The owners are very pleasant. It's a really interesting and different experience. Quite popular though so perhaps book. Very much looking forward to return visits and trying the Hong Kong food on Fridays
