My family have just enjoyed another wonderful time here. We ordered jumbo sausage, chicken nuggets (made with whole chunks of breast meat) and pea fritter. Honestly these has been some of the best chip suppers we've had. Seamaster delivers consistently high standards all the years we've been coming here. Very happy to be back
Table service when you eat in, excellent service when you order takeaway. Easily the best chips, fish, spring rolls in Reading. There are alot of chippies around, many of whom have ditched their previously high standards. Not here, it's consistently good, clean, friendly and good value. It's 3miles from my house and worth the journey. You must try this pla(i)ce.
Visited last night. While waiting for my order two ladies were behind the till standing around doing nothing. The gentleman frying was running around cooking and cleaning the hot plate. While he was doing this the ladies did nothing but stand and slag their colleague off, not only for him to hear but also customers. Typical case of bullying in the workplace .... disgusting! Even though the gentleman frying could hear this he remained professional and cooked some lovely food.
Best chippy in Reading, hands-down. I moved here from London in 2021 and have been trying different chippies over the years, this one outshines them all! Great prices, huge portions, cooked to perfection. I’ve ordered a few times on Deliveroo and it always gets here piping hot and yummy!
The food at this restaurant is always fresh and delicious. I have been dining here for a while now and the quality has never wavered. Although there may be long wait times, the hot and tasty food is worth it.
