Specializing in coconut chicken hot pot, this cozy neighborhood spot draws praise for aromatic, mildly sweet broths, fresh ingredients and attentive, efficient service. Vegetables, noodles and tender beef soak up the coconut flavor well, and a house ginger–green onion dipping sauce is a highlight. Experiences vary—some diners report oily or weak coconut notes, occasional overcooked chicken, and pricey, modest portions—so it’s best for coconut lovers and small groups who value flavor over value. Overall, a charming, flavorful destination with occasional inconsistency.
Healthy and fresh food, friendly and attentive service. No reservations accepted but the wait time wouldn't be too long even on Saturday evening. Highly recommend the coconut broth chicken for 2 (comes with veggies and noodles). I also liked the braised pork feet which melts in mouth. The highlight is their chicken for the hot pot, as it's very tender and with a hint of coconut after being cooked in the broth.
My friend and I ordered the coconut hot pot. The coconut soup base is good sweet and light. I personally don't like thick and dense soup base. Their restaurant made chilly sauce is a delight. Sweet and a little spicy, good for dipping. The waiters are friendly too. The only down size is the food is pricy and the amount is not for a big eater. If you like coconut and chicken, give it a try.
Coco Rooster has been on my list of places to try since it opened last year. We were intrigued by the coconut chicken hotpot, which turned out to be lighter and healthier than traditional hotpot broths. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were welcoming. We decided to go for the lunch special combo, which included coconut fresh chicken soup and fresh salted fish over rice for $13.99. Unfortunately, we found it somewhat disappointing. While the soup was flavorful, the chicken was tough and dry. Although the salted fish and meat were tasty, the portion sizes felt small compared to the amount of rice served. We may give it another shot for their signature hotpot, but based on our initial experience, we can't recommend it.

So I order what everybody was recommending. The basic a hotpot with chicken quite few pieces of chicken. Really expensive for some half chicken. Quite the same as you can get from a Cantonese scallion chicken in half but with a hint of coconut(maybe). With that only takes about less than 80% of the price from this place. We also order some pudding, not really recommending atall. Quite disappointed as my wife was being advised by little red book. But $130 on a dinner for two. Barely got me full.rip-off.
