Last Sunday evening, we visited the drive-thru (1/23) and ordered a sandwich, a half sandwich, and some mac and cheese. We come from Florida to Giorgia very frequently, my son likes to have breakfast at Panera here, the service was always good but the cold coffee was hot and the hot coffee was cold and all the 3 breakfasts were cold. Last Sunday evening, we visited the drive-thru (1/23) and ordered a sandwich, a half sandwich, and some mac and cheese. The half sandwich I ordered was $7, but when I received it, it was tiny and barely had any filling – it felt more like a $2 sandwich from McDonald's. It was busy, so maybe they were just rushing to prepare it. I went inside to discuss my concerns, and the manager quickly took care of the situation by making me a new and much better sandwich. I really appreciated the excellent service and my feedback being taken seriously. The food turned out delicious, and the service was even better!
Additionally, the lack of paper towels in the women's restroom felt like a lapse in basic service. The napkin dispenser was placed awkwardly, making it easy for napkins to fall onto the floor, which was quite inconvenient. I also noticed that the server coughed into her hand before taking our order and then handled our cups without wearing a mask, which was concerning. Overall, the place isn't terrible; it just didn't meet the standards I'm accustomed to at Panera locations. I'm grateful for the good food (and for the paper towels in the bathroom). After a bit of a wait, I finally managed to get some sweet tea.
Ordered pick up and they forgot to add my drinks to my bag. They did not refund my money and claimed I had to come back into the store to get the credit. They also forgot utensils. The restaurant wasn’t even busy.
After getting a Cracker Barrel salad to go last night where they left out the tomatoes, I thought I’d try Panera so I got the green goddess chicken Cobb salad, which i thought was supposed to have avocado on it. But when I got back to my hotel room and started to eat it, I couldn’t find any avocado. I looked up the description on the website and yes, it was supposed to have avocado. The rest of the salad was very good, but I’m not sure I’ll order from there again. After reading the multiple reviews of people who were missing chicken on their salad, I guess I’m lucky I got chicken. The piece of bread was nothing to write home about. Almost too hard to eat.
