They were closed we will celebrating my birthday. We drove minutes because I love taco guild I am was sad that I did not get a call or text about them being closed
We had out of town guests to take out on April We had reservations drove hr to get to Taco Guild, only to find out they were surprisingly closed. Why would a restaurant not call the people who had reservations to let them know the restaurant had to close for that day?So disappointing, a huge waste of time
Last night we went to taco guild for an reservation. Got there early and had to wait until for our table. The waitress was training and the gentleman training her, was not helpful. He contradicted everything she said. Instead of being at the table with her, he would come over after she left to tell us the opposite. She had taken our drink and appetizer order. The trainer then came back and said we don't have any food we need to ask you to leave . Like what!? Your restaurant doesn't have food at Why did they make us wait for a table and take our drinks. When the drinks came to the table our waitress said our appetizers would be right out. We then told her what her trainer had said, no food and to leave. The manager could talk to us if we wanted to wait, but after more minutes we didn't have time to wait and needed to find a restaurant that knew how to operate and order supplies. I think there is new ownership, no one was wearing masks that worked there and someone mentioned they just replaced their entire staff. Can't go here again, and need to think twice if ever going to Ztejas as well
Beware of the scam CC payment machine they use at your table. If you offer a 20% tip they add in the tax first then calculate tip. You are paying way more than the 20% on food. I called they refused to offer a refund I had to cancel the tip part of the payment through my CC. Maybe not illegal but definitely unethical. Taco Guild is one of our all time favorites! Delicious food, THE BEST margaritas, friendly staff, great atmosphere! My husband I have tried almost everything on the menu have never been disappointed. We drive from surprise frequently because it’s just that great! Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
