Five star food near Independence Hall. Great outdoor seating in summer . Worth the walk after seeing the mall . Had the Italian salad and meatball. Very yummy .
We absolutely enjoyed our experience at La Scalia! The atmosphere was spacious, bright, and beautiful. The food and service were excellent. We shared a pizza, panini, ravioli, and Rigatoni alla Vodka, and everyone loved their meal. It’s definitely a fantastic discovery after exploring the Independence Mall area!
Ordered a rather simple order of ravioli. Almost two hours later I 'm still waiting to receive it. Called to ask about it and all they say is it 'll probably be there soon . Still waiting...
We had just left the liberty Bell and was looking for a place to eat. We were fortunate to find this place a block away. We walked in and the place is very clean. We were able to get in without a reservation. We were waited on immediately. We ordered 2 appetizers one the cheese steak egg roll and the truffle fries. Both great. For our meal we ordered the pepperoni calazone and a cheese steak one. You can split the portion as it's family style. Both great. Left there nice and full for 4 of us. Ate before we took pictures.
OMG you have got to be kidding me. This place puts itself out there as a pizza place but my husband had the Fa Diavolo and I had the Veal Marsala. It was all fabulous and not terrible expensive. Their wine list is small but the Chianti was good. If I lived in this area I would eat here regularly.
