Headed over to Lay Up for a change from my usual cafe. Had the scrambled eggs on toast. The portion was nice and big, and the eggs were done perfectly. 9/10!I also ordered a shake, which tasted good but was in a tiny glass, 7 bucks for a shake in a small glass was expensive. At the first visit of layup and oh boy I was with a very positive impression behind me. perfect small side street cafe for brunch with friends who welcome them feeling and satisfied with not only the amazing food, but also the excellent customer service. the personal was really friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. I had the chicken sluice with a side of chips and it was so delicious especially the sauce. the food was very full, but the money worth (very cheap prices). I'd like to come back!
First time trying their brunch menu on the weekend. The coffee was good to start with, ambience was nice and relax. We tried the bacon, egg and mushroom wrap which is quite nice and good size. The egg hollandaise is yummy with fresh ingredients as we could taste them! It is too bad that it's got a bit too much sauce that everything was sort of drench in the sauce but otherwise it could've been a really good dish.
The karage chicken burger was simply delightful and just the right size. The wedges were really good and so were the onion rings. My friend had the Rueben and while it was delicious it wasn't what he expected.
The burgers at this restaurant are absolutely amazing for lunch! They have a great variety and they are all so delicious! I highly recommend them!
We visit this restaurant for breakfast or lunch about once a month, and the food is always consistently delicious. They offer breakfast items all day and the staff is friendly.
