best place in lancashire for ice cream. quality ice cream at affordable prices. the ice tastes amazing and the service is customer-friendly. one of the legendary places of nelson. always love come here when the weather is good. I recommend the biscuits and cream ice cream with chocolate sauce (as seen in pictures) absolutely beautiful. would definitely recommend 10/10 View all feedback.

I came across Slaters when looking at a map of the area. I've never been to this part of Nelson before, but having looked at their Facebook page and seeing their ice creams my mind was easily made up. We went just after 1pm on a Wednesday afternoon and had a regular vanilla ice cream cone and a large cookies and cream and battenburg ice cream cone (2 flavours on one cone). The flavours were amazing and we would definitely return to try more.
Eric slater made the best ice cream in the Nelson ,utter rubbish ,he made the best ice cream in all of England , a very delightful chap my dad new him reasonably well ,he fixed one of his machines for him once ,i only have one regret about slaters ice cream,i wish i could get my hands on his raspberry vinegar it was the best sauce ever and complimented his ice cream perfectly ,Eric hit the nail on the head when it came to making ice cream. i often think about my youth when i could hear oranges and lemons ,straight into the house dad can i have ice cream ,my dad would say yes ill have a cream and cream ,happy days
Every time I visit Nelson I always call in at Slaters for an ice cream.Used to go every week when I lived in Barrowford. The best ice cream in the world!
