Was Patricia Gust at The Central a mag?
Had the standard mocha, which was good and light. This place has a good selection of food and drinks, ample seating, wifi, and excellent choice in background music. the ambiance of the old station, the original benches and plants make it an enjoyable place to rest and work from. View all feedback.
What rob dislikes about The Central:
Food and coffee are very good here, but I'm afraid the prices are a bit over the top. Got the brioche French toast which tasted great, but really over $20 is a bit much, they only give you one slice. Really? Twenty bucks for a slice of French toast and a coffee? That spells rip off to me. Won't be back for quite awhile if at all. Sorry. View all feedback.
I went to the nearly-empty Bistro hoping to sit and have a meal and was told to go to the Cafe side where they told me to go to the Bistro. Horrible customer service. As I could not order a meal, I left and went elsewhere.
Love this place but I have to take away a star because they got rid of the Kale Caesar. They switched it to spring mix and it is just not the same. Also, tomatoes don’t go with a caeser salad and it seems like they changed the dressing as well. Sad because I truly loved that salad and would look forward to having it. Was so disappointed last time I went in when I heard they got rid of it: .
We went for the first time and loved it, the place has been beautifully restored. The food was delicious, brussel sprouts, salads and steak sandwich all superb. The Red Sangria was one of the best I’ve ever had and the staff could not be nicer.
Love the menu options but the service is a bit disorganized, they could really use a hostess. Also the train honking every 30 minutes is jarring. But these were the best Brussels I've ever had, the halloumi is so good! I wanted to try all the appetizers. Also perfectly made espresso martini. The hours on google were also incorrect, it is probably open later than google hours are saying.
The best steak sandwich! Bread was fresh and grilled the steak was tender! Outdoor seating is a plus. Fish dish was delish! I’m down at the riverfront all the time but this was my first time coming here.
