What Dominic B dislikes about Cocchi:
This is an atmospheric restaurant … unfortunately the specials were not special the lasagne over cooked and the agnello was mostly bones … and the specials are not priced but turn out to be the most expensive so poor value for money… stick with what is on the menu …. The parmiaganno was excellent…. Watch your bill if not local they added something we did not have and added an extra cover which I did not spot they are... View all feedback.
Veal with parmesan was absolutely majestic. I'm very happy. My family was happy and everyone wanted to come back again.
Food was good. Staff a liitle bit too friendly . It seemd liked they wanted to get rid of some leftovers and pushed them in our meal/order. Recomand to pick yourself the menu, not necessarily go with what the waiter recomands. Negative point: they changed the wine we orderd, opened it and put it in glases WITHOUT informing us. I noticed and asked the waiter. He argued without any quilt that it 's a similar wine, even cheaper. We didn 't look for the cheapest wine, but for the one we ordered. PS At the end we noticed that it was actually expensiver! Be careful what you order!

We enjoyed everything about our evening at Cocchi the decor, the food, the service etc. Definitely a spot we'd be pleased to come back to!
This is old school fine dining done well. Everything we ate was good. The highlight for me was the potato ravioli, indulgent, comforting and delicious. I was less sure about the stuffed veal signature dish. There was nothing particularly wrong with it, it was just a strange combination of things and a bit of a messy presentation. Our other main, a rabbit saddle was very tasty but not that exciting. Wine list was comprehensive and offered a range of price points and a good selection of local wines. Service was pleasant, we don't speak very good Italian other than reading menus and the staff served us with patience and grace. Overall, very enjoyable, thank you to the team for a nice lunch.
