I recently tried the Deli located inside Safeway on Middlefield in Palo Alto for the first time. I ordered and enjoyed a delicious hot ham and cheese sandwich on sourdough bread with mayonnaise. It was truly the best sandwich I have ever had. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste. The quality of Safeway products at this restaurant is average, but the service is lacking. During my visit today, I had originally planned to purchase a piece of fish fillet.
