Was Anonym at Chef Rivera a mag?
restaurant with hotel or vice versa. here I will talk about the restaurant. I got a lot of both the deal and the quality of the food. I went with the stomach in bad condition and they adapted the menu. a great Galician broth and a cod to the lightened Galician, simply extraordinary watered with a great rib. The very nice and cozy dining room space despite its size. I'll repeat but this time I'm accompanied. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Chef Rivera:
I'm just talking about the restaurant, I didn't stay. I think it's a little pretentious, I guess it's had its time for glory, but this isn't anymore. to try the lampre is not the best place, although the preparation in fiambre and chrome is original. very expensive as it is not attractive, throw horthera (object question). We were welcomed by the owner, She was so welcoming and helpful and spoke English fluently. The room was really lovely with a good bathroom, it’s on a quiet street. We had an absolutely delicious lunch and dinner. It’s very near the old town which is very pretty. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly.
We ate here on a Saturday when many of the restaurants in town were closed. We ate the pilgrim’s menu which was twice the price of any other menu in town. The pepper steak and fish we had were good but not exceptional. Service was friendly and attentive. Wish we had gone elsewhere with better value.
Avoided the pilgrims menu to my disappointment. Fish soup was good but lacked spice/paprika and salt. Not very Galician. Monkfish rivera was thickened with cornflour/flour ... Knorr style. Local white Wine was excellent. This 30 euro couldn't compare to the awesome tapas served complimentary with a beer in any of the local pulperias/bars.
We stayed here whilst walking the Camino. We decided to eat in the restaurant. My husband had the pilgrim menu €18) 4 courses and has got to be the best pilgrim menu he’s had, it was like food from master chef.. I am a gluten free vegetarian and had the Padron peppers, gluten free roll, vegetarian rice and the sorbet, again my food was delicious. We found the staff to be courteous, friendly and very helpful with our requests. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
I randomly discovered this restaurant as I checked in the hotel. It was a delicious fine dining experience on the Camino, with amazing Galician octopus prepared by the chef, among other tasty dishes and desserts. I did not try the pilgrim menu, as I preferred other dishes, but found the food and preparation quality high.
