Feedback
Nestled in a bustling area, this charming café offers delicious breakfast options alongside freshly made donuts. Diners rave about standout dishes like the perfect breakfast burrito and salmon benedict, both praised for their quality and attention to detail. While the food consistently garners acclaim, feedback suggests the establishment needs to address service and atmosphere, particularly in hospitality and signage. Despite some operational hiccups, such as self-service payment and a lack of overhead menus, guests appreciate the café's nostalgic vibes and its capacity to deliver a satisfying meal. Overall, it’s a promising brunch spot with room for improvement.
Not just for donuts! Great place for breakfast and lunch too. On my latest lunch visit, I had a great spinach salad, topped with bacon with a great mustard balsamic dressing on the side. The coffee is great too.
I recently dined at the greasy spoon restaurant and I have to give it five stars for transporting me back to my youth, minus the cigarette smoke (thankfully). I was in town for Big Bad Con 2022 and was in need of a good breakfast spot. This place did not disappoint. I opted for the vegetarian options and tried their donuts which were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying the donuts! Overall, the service was great. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
The food was good and the service was adequate, but the assumed owner seemed to pay more attention to their phone and high-top tables than to the customers. The restaurant itself could use some updates, such as overhead menus, donuts, and proper signage for the restroom which was located in a confusing spot behind the kitchen. Overall, the business seemed to lack identity, with no clear history, specialties, or menu highlights. It was more focused on food service rather than creating a memorable experience for customers. The checkout process was also lacking in hospitality, with the employee leaving me to process the payment myself. In conclusion, while the food was good, there are other brunch spots in the area that excel in both food quality and overall experience. I hope the owner takes this feedback to heart and works on improving the basics of their establishment.
This is what used to be called a greasy spoon restaurant. I give it max stars for taking me back to my youth, minus the cigarette smoke (obviously). I was in town for Big Bad Con 2022 and needed breakfast. This place did the trick. I orderedvegetarian options and donuts. Don 't pass on the donuts IMO! Thank you for the great service ????????
I really wanted to like this place and has all the makings of 5 star review because the food is good but the basics are lacking 1) we were not greeted and I asked table for two and one member staff pointed to the back open tables none cleaned or wiped down2) asked for a booth for two and denied because I assume owner a young man said they are reserved for 4 despite less than busyhour and other customers of 1 and 2 parties already seated in other booths. The food is good, service is adequate, but theassumed owner just sat on the high tops and was on the phone and not paying attention his Customers. The signs need updating, overhead menus, donuts, and restrooms are missing. The path to the restroom is unmarked to the rear past the kitchen between acart of supplies and groceries and fridges in the back. The bathroom might be ok for staff, but maybe needs organization andless clutter. The business lacks identity no business history, specials, menu highlights, personality or friendliness. Justfood service and promise to make anything you want. There is a sign to be kind, but it?s misplaced. We ordered both the cornbeef hash and Benedict food is good, no fruit or garnish. The kitchen is located adjacent to the high top bars, but not utilizedfor customers, but for staff meals and owner to sit. I asked for the bill and the staff member left the machine for me toprocess the payment. We left the same way we came in with no goodbyes just someone at the register counting receipts. There istake out, but a little confusing as the pickup is located past the register between kitchen and donut display. As I said thebasics, something the other brunch places in the area make it a point of emphasis to balance great food and experience. I hopethe owner takes this feedback to heart.
