I finally had the opportunity to try SuzyQs, a renowned donut shop. Overall, I enjoyed the donuts, although some stood out more than others. My favorites were the coconut cream and sourdough dip, with the raspberry glaze also being fresh and delightful. The Black Forest donut tasted just like cake, which was interesting. However, I found the cinnamon toast crunch and dirty chocolate donuts to be average in flavor. Although the price of $20 may seem high, the quality of ingredients is evident, and it's an enjoyable experience to try unique flavors. The dough is light, and the donuts are not overly sweet or greasy.
We love the doughnuts! The flavors are quite unique and always exciting to try! I wish we could sit inside though. We still have to order at the window at this time. Not sure if it was different before 2020…
SuzyQ never fails to disappoint. Haven't been in years but excited to see their business has grown as well as their amazing flavour selection. We opted for the Cookies and Cream Cheese, Toasted Coconut and Lime, Passionfruit Poppyseed and the D'OH!nut.
Super delicious donuts, beautiful building but staff can sometimes seem unfriendly. Regardless the donuts I’ve had have been really yummy and I always look forward to going.
The consistency of their doughnuts is fantastic: light, fluffy chewy all at once, but the flavours, while wonderfully unique, are often much too subtle to live up to their names. I tried the London Fog doughnut this week, hoping for something resembling Earl Grey, or even a hint of lavender, but couldn't really taste anything • Still an enjoyable doughnut, but more along the lines of a plain vanilla. My real reason for leaving a mere 3 out of 5 stars, though, is largely due to the staff • I was served by a fairly unpleasant young woman who seemed eager to rush me (though I wasn't being slow, by any means), and despite it being quiet, with very few other people in the shop numerous people working behind the counter, the tables were quite dirty, and so were all of the drinking glasses... not cool.
