Feedback
When the recent changes to minimum wage started affecting all businesses in Ontario, Clocktower made the decision to reduce the tip distribution to their lowest paid staff.
The pub is minimalistic: just pub tables and chairs, little decoration except of the huge TV screens showing sports channels. We visited the pub by accident, walked in during Canada Day trying to escape the rain. Service Ok but food/snacks horrible. Please do not try the fried pickles. There is really nothing that would bring me back, prices were also very high. Not recommended.
Even on a busy night, we were seated promptly at the back of this beer lover's establishment. For me, it seemed like a no brainer to get their beer taster option, which allows you to sample all of their beers, some of them seasonal and most of them delicious. The food was better than expected. The Bytown meatloaf was great and filled me up. The wild boar poutine and tacos are a real treat. If you like beer and comfort food then you'll enjoy your visit. It can get noisy and busy, but that's a sign of a successful business and good eats!
