What pizz dislikes about Duryea's Orient Point:
Never ever again. We have a second home in Peconic for the past 15 years. This is our first and last time here. Filling out paper menus, paying first is like Sizzlers- we got the tuna tartar and asked for bread or crackers when it arrived only to betold sorry you have to pay for that separately. They ran out of the lobster we ordered and decided to tell us after an hourwait. This place is all about ambience not about... View all feedback.

For the money you spend here YOU DEFINITELY DO NOT GET WHAT YOHPAID FOR!
The view is absolutely breathtaking, which is the primary reason to dine here. Our server was nice and made some solid recommendations. Instead of ordering at your table, you place your order at a window booth and pay upfront, including the tip. They don’t provide change, so it’s wise to carry smaller bills for the tip jar. The hummus platter with olives was delightful, but I found the Spanish octopus to be excessively salty, which resulted in me needing two antacids afterward. Unfortunately, this took away from the overall enjoyment of the experience.
The restaurant is quite expensive, and I don't think the quality and quantity of the food justify the price. However, it is a charming place, and we did enjoy our time there. The ordering process is a bit unusual; you fill out a paper menu, take it to the register, and pay upfront. The food is supposed to be brought out to you afterward, but I had to ask twice for the rest of my order, as we found ourselves waiting with nothing to do after finishing our first dish. Additionally, there's a tip jar by the register with a sign requesting tips, which feels a bit awkward since it's before any service has been rendered, especially given the minimal service experience. The atmosphere has a South Fork vibe that feels somewhat out of place in the North Fork.
During our girls' trip, we stopped by this place for a drink. Although the beach club was closed, we were still able to explore the area, which is absolutely breathtaking! It truly embodies the Greek vibe, and I can easily imagine spending hot summer days there. We shared a bottle of wine that was reasonably priced, but the food prices felt a bit high. From the beginning, we had planned to stick with drinks only.
