Very small but ok. I was here for coffee on the recommendation of locals. Because I said I like coffee warm not overly hot. My husband says I have my cups of tea at Luke warm temp when he drinks his straight away from the jug. Well even by my standards this coffee is cold, not warm. The taste of the coffee is ok but it's Luke warm. Not drinkable without going to a microwave to heat it up. Luckily they can do it hotte... View all feedback.
Breakfast is wonderful at Bensons! I have been there numerous times and I have never had a bad meal. The coffee is also lovely and the service is always exceeds expectations

Benson's is on Summer Street and thus easy to find. We were referred there by the receptionist at the hotel where we stayed.Scrambled egg and bacon sounds like a boring breakfast, but it certainly was not. It was also a generous serve. My wife's spinach and mushroom on sourdough with a poached egg was well received. Fine touches such as a hint of garlic and a touch of lemon zest with the mushroom lifted the dish and made it memorable. Well done!This place is busy - expect to wait a few minutes for a table during busy periods.Staff, service, cleanliness and value for money are all as expected from a popular main street cafe.

The breakfast at this restaurant was excellent. The shared pot of tea was just what we needed, and the fresh orange juice was served with plenty of ice. The staff was very friendly, and the food and service were both very good.
