Menu
A comprehensive menu of Kick Switch from Okauchee featuring all 14 dishes and drinks can be found here on the menu.
This recently renovated neighborhood spot delivers hearty burgers, brisket nachos, sandwiches and standout seafood in an open, garage-door–style interior with a roomy bar and small east-side patio. Diners praise flavorful food, festive decor and friendly staff, yet report inconsistent or slow service and inattentive bar service at times. A major accessibility concern: the restaurant has reportedly refused entry to a registered service dog, citing local rules, prompting legal and moral objections. Excellent food and group seating, but inconsistent hospitality and service-animal refusals are major caveats.

Was Erin M at Kick Switch a mag?
I visited the new location and was truly impressed by the quality of the food. It was the best Buffalo Chicken Wrap I’ve ever tasted! The tall Old Fashioneds were the perfect finishing touch. I will definitely return! View all feedback.
What Mariah Lindemann dislikes about Kick Switch:
I wish I could've said I loved it. When we walked in, no one greeted us or looked in our direction. We were fourtnate enough to get a seat and a drink but beyond that we were ignored. We really wanted to try the food but even when we tried to close out it was hard to grab someone's attention. Probably won't be going back. View all feedback.

I want to share our unfortunate experience at this restaurant to highlight an important issue. We visited around noon, excited for a nice lunch while visiting my daughter, who requires a medical alert dog to be with her at all times. This is not a therapy dog; it is a registered, highly trained medical alert dog that has undergone two years of specialized training. Unlike some service animals, he does not wear a generic vest and has never been turned away from schools, restaurants, airlines, or even hospitals. To our surprise, we were told that my daughter and her service dog were not allowed inside the restaurant. The owner's reasons kept changing: he mentioned that some regular customers have dog allergies, that the kitchen staff isn’t fond of dogs, and even that his landlord supposedly doesn't permit service animals. The reason he kept repeating was that local laws in Wisconsin override federal ADA regulations. When I inquired further, it turned out that none of the allegedly allergic customers were present at that time. Despite explaining that his actions were against the law, the owner insisted on quoting local ordinances that he claimed took precedence. If we hadn't been on a limited schedule with our daughter, we would have waited for the police. However, who wants to eat at a place that has just been forced by authorities to serve you? We tried to communicate to him that he was in violation of the law, and we intend to pursue this ADA breach. It's essential for others with disabilities to be aware that this establishment does not welcome those who need medical alert animals. If you’re considering bringing your registered service animal here, be prepared to stand up for your rights. We only wish we had had more time to address this situation properly.
I attempted to dine inside with my daughter's trained service dog, but we were informed that we couldn't enter because the restaurant has special permission from the county to bypass federal ADA regulations. They explained that some staff members are uncomfortable and allergic to dogs. Since we were hungry and tired, we chose to eat outside instead. The owner then approached us to justify his stance, stating that he could refuse service to someone with a medical alert dog because it might negatively impact his business. He claimed that if dogs were allowed inside, it would deter customers from dining there. He also mentioned that he leases the space and that the landlord does not permit service dogs. This experience serves as a warning to the special needs community: you are not welcome here.
