Feedback
The Queen's Head in Ockbrook is a delightful dining spot, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere complemented by friendly service. Guests rave about the diverse and delicious menu, featuring well-prepared dishes like Hake Supreme and Ribeye steak, all at reasonable prices. While most meals receive high praise, some feedback highlights concerns about food temperature. The establishment's recent renovations have further enhanced its appeal, rekindling fond memories for regular patrons. Musical selections add to the ambiance, creating a memorable experience for families celebrating occasions or simply enjoying a meal together. Overall, it's highly recommended for both food lovers and casual diners alike.
I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago with my family. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. I will definitely be back soon!
Lovely atmosphere, nice setting and welcoming staff. Interesting menu and food tasted delicious BUT such a shame that our 3 fish pies were only lukewarm ...a little concerning for a reheated seafood dish. They took them back and microwaved them warmer but still not piping hot. Would've been 5 stars had the food been reheated to optimum temperature.
Fantastic meal tonight! Good fast service and a wide range of both food and drink offerings. Food was utterly delicious! Hake supreme cooked beautifully with great flavour deserves a particular mention but all dishes really well flavoured and executed. Only 4 starts because I really missed the table service… the food is sensational, it’s just a shame to miss the personal touch of a waiter or waitress. Thank you for a lovely evening
The staff are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to make your experience enjoyable. Price per person: £40–50. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5. I highly recommend trying the Cod and Chips.
I used to live in Borrowash, and this pub, along with several others, was the go-to spot in the 70s and 80s. It’s a fantastic place, with a wonderful landlord. I’ve visited several times over the past few years, and it hasn’t lost its charm. I haven’t tried the food, so I can’t give a rating for that, but it certainly looked appealing. Overall, I’d rate the service at 4 and the atmosphere at 4.
