We had a super dinner with friends who live near there....it was a long drive for us to reach the restaurant BUT WOW it was fantastic.Thie is not just your "local" it really is wonderful - the family, the food and the connection to the guests was just great.I have eaten in restaurants all over the world and this little gem gets my rating. Il Posto is actually in North Epping in the village shopping centre. New owners took it over and refurbished it and they have done a great job. An excellent menu of traditional Italian food is served plus specials that change regularly. I always go for one of the "specials" because the produce is generally local or latest purchased. I took 5 friends recently and we all really enjoyed what we had. The orecchiette with a lamb ragu was superb and the barramundi was excellent. I had an Italian version of surf and turf and it was cooked exactly as requested and mouth watering. Highly recommend for families and groups of friends. BYO beer and wine (small corkage) and excellent service. Expect a little noise but much better than some places. Mainly locals like us having a good night with friends.

Absolutely love it. So friendly and better pizza than in leichhardt where we used to live. This will definitely become our regular.
Eating is delicious and very high quality. the staff is warm and friendly. we're here regularly, as it's so good to eat. it's byo alchol that's great. the specialties vary in the regular weekly. I had the balmain bug entree with a Sambal...butter was tender and tasty the Duck special was great. well made luigi chef kamhal and staff. recommend in any case
