Despite some negative reviews mentioning high prices, small portions, and reheated chips, the restaurant stands out for its delicious crispy fish batter, flavorful curry sauce, and friendly staff. One customer even ranked it as the best fish and chip shop on the island. A family of 11 had a great experience, enjoying freshly cooked food by the harbor before boarding their ferry. Although there were isolated incidents of poor customer service and subpar food, overall, the restaurant seems to offer a decent dining option in Brodick.
What Katie C likes about Hooked Cooked:
Family of 11 ordered food and we got amazing freshly cooked food very quickly. We enjoyed amazing fish and chips, the kids devoured fish/chicken and chips and we even shared our 1st experience of a battered Mars bar. Right next to harbour as we waited to board our ferry back to the mainland. Would highly recommend and would visit again if we are lucky enough to sail over to Arran again View all feedback.
What aerobubble doesn't like about Hooked Cooked:
15 minute wait due to ferry departure. Staff rude. Lady came in as she forgot to order sauce and went to pay. They refused her as it was under £5 on her card…she just spend over £40 in the shop you’d think they’d suck up the card charge or give a 50p tub for free for their custom… a nice man paid for the ladies sauce. Thought that would have been it. No they continued to moan and slate the lady. Not professional at all. We received our food. No parchment on top of the pizza so it ended up having no cheese due to it being stuck to the paper packaging. Fish bad bones. Chips ok. Prices ridiculous. £11.50 for a full pizza supper. Anywhere else £7 max. Save your money and get proper, decent food on the ferry or the nearby hotels.
