The patio area provides a spacious and scenic setting, and the service is friendly. The menu offers traditional English pub fare, with mixed opinions on the quality of the food. Some highlights were the Asiago crab dip and the fresh salads, but the jerk chicken tacos were overly salty. The portion sizes were generous, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was noted. The overall dining experience seemed to be hit and miss, with standout items like the clam chowder and pierogies contrasting with less impressive dishes like the Chili Supreme and Shanghai Stir Fry. The pub menu items received positive feedback, while some ethnic dishes fell short of expectations. Reservations are recommended for a Friday visit, with service and food quality being highlighted as positive aspects. The scratch-made food, fresh draught, and stellar service were particularly appreciated by recurring customers. A monthly meeting at the Crows Nest showcased the accommodating nature of the staff, with good quality food and efficient service for a large group. The limited parking was the only downside mentioned during this visit. Regular patrons rave about the delicious food, friendly service, and laid-back atmosphere at the Crows Nest. Standout dishes included the curry and the bangers and mash, with high praise for both the atmosphere and the cuisine. The commitment to supporting local businesses was emphasized, especially during the challenging times of the pandemic. Overall, The Crows Nest is a beloved spot in Newmarket, offering outstanding food and service in a relaxed setting. Patrons recommend a variety of menu items, from double-baked nachos to the Pub Salad and the Nest Burger. Whether for a casual meal or a special occasion, this cozy pub seems to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences.
What Maudie Waelchi likes about Crow's Nest:
I went here many years ago with a fellow co-worker and this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere was exactly like a English pub (I lived in England for a year) The food was quite good and the service was quick and friendly. Only issue I had was parking but once you explore the streets a bit you'll see there is quite a few spots nearby. If you're near Southlake Hospital or downtown Newmarket stop by Crow's Nest. Y... What Sabina M doesn't like about Crow's Nest:
We cozy and comfortable place, feels like we are in Ireland , we old style . The servers are really welcoming. There is bar separate and eating area separate. We went on a sunday brunch, it was good, prices are reasonable too. will add photos of the breakfast we ordered. I tried wings but i didnt like it, they were not fresh. Garlic bread was good.
