Took my husband here for his birthday and everything was amazing. From the delicious food, to the attentive service, and the beautiful atmosphere on the back petio. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and a more satisfied appetite.
To preface, this restaurants food is fantastic and I would typically give this place a five star review. When I arrived at the table, I was asked if we wanted any beverages to which I responded, Water is fine . I was asked if I wanted sparking water or still water, and I answered that I wanted still water. We got a bottle of water and dinner went on like usual and the food was fantastic! However, when we received the bill, we were charged 7$ for the bottle of water. I think it 's very reasonable to assume that still water would mean free, non-sparkling water since there were zero indications that it would be any type of premium water that would be charged. We were never given or informed that the water given to us would be charged, and we would 've asked for free tap water if we were informed we were getting the latter. We will be coming back because the food is genuinely really good, However, I would really appreciate it if we were informed that the bottled water was going to be an extra charge, rather than blindsiding us with a extra charge. TLDR: Ask for the free water so you don 't get charged for premium water .
My server was super sweet and coursed my meal perfectly. The beet salad and homemade gnocchi were great, and so was the barrel-aged Negroni. I had a really nice meal.
Went here during restaurant week and was not a fan. Ordered lamb chops off the regular menu as I know sometimes the restaurant menu is mass produced. The food wasn't good. Lamb wasn't seasoned, too well done and wasn't grilled. Looked baked and as if hadbeen sitting. Brussel sprouts were salty and the Nutella crepe for dessert was lukewarm at best and served without ice cream orwhipped cream. The service was good and they were accommodating to my last minute request to move my reservation 30 minuteslater due to traffic. I'm disappointed as I've visited a few years ago during restaurant week and the food was good.
My boyfriend and I went to have dinner excited about the good reviews, but were surprisingly disappointed. We ordered the cheese platter and oysters as starters; the oysters were ok, although they were served with ketchup on the side which to me is aculinary crime and the cheese platter seemed a bit overpriced considering that one out of the four cheeses served appeared to beparmesan that hadn’t been grated. We then had pasta for dinner which took quite a bit to come out of the kitchen, althoughwith covid personnel shortages could be understandable, but tasted bland. I definitely won’t be coming back.
