I really enjoyed the green curry with eggplant and tofu at this restaurant. They offer a variety of vegan dishes that are clearly labeled or can be made vegan upon request (just make sure to specify that you want it without the fish sauce).
On April 3rd, we decided to get takeaway from Busaba restaurant due to the current virus situation preventing us from dining in. Despite this, we have dined at Busaba many times before and have always had a positive experience. I reached out prior to ordering as the menu did not clearly indicate which dishes were vegan-friendly (I have recently transitioned to a vegan diet since December 2019). I received a prompt response detailing the vegan options available and which dishes could be made vegan. Unfortunately, none of the starters were vegan, but there were two vegetarian options. The Pad Thai, Tom Kha Soup, stir fries, khao soi, and curries were either vegan or could be made vegan. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Bangkok Penang curry, both with locally sourced silverking tofu, and they were both delicious. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options.
I absolutely loved the atmosphere and ambiance of this restaurant. We arrived during lunch hours and decided to try their lunch specials. We spent around $18 per entrée for the specials, which I found slightly pricey, but the food was quite good and the portion sizes were decent. I just wish there was more curry, as I received only a small bowl and it was delicious! We'll definitely return if we find ourselves in the Nelson, BC area again.
Food is just amazing. Been going there for a while. I don't know much about Thai food but all i can say is that food here is *DELICIOUS*Btw my fav are spring rolls, railway fried rice and papaya salad.
I love the decor in this restaurant. Unique. I really enjoyed the food. So good. Service was good as well.
