The staff are warm and attentive, making the experience even better. We celebrated our granddaughter’s Christening today at Browne’s in Slane Castle and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was outstanding, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed their menu too. The staff were exceptional—attentive and went above and beyond for us. The castle setting is simply breathtaking. We will definitely be returning. Many thanks, Liz and Paul Holohan.
What an incredible experience! The food was exceptional from start to finish. We both began with goat’s cheese, which was truly delightful. I chose the beef, and my husband opted for the salmon accompanied by crab claws and mussels; both meals were rich in flavor and artistically plated. For dessert, we shared a cheesecake that simply melted in our mouths. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was flawless. I wholeheartedly recommend Browne's.
I hosted my son’s christening in the Gandon room, and everything was flawless from beginning to end. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the food exceeded all expectations. Everyone was praising their meals. The atmosphere in the room was lovely, and considering the high quality of the food, it was great value for money. I would definitely come back.

My friends and I went to Browne's for Sunday dinner and each chose a three-course meal. While I wanted to rate the restaurant higher, there were several issues. The chicken terrine was beautifully presented, but my baked oysters were overwhelmed by overly vinegary and crunchy vegetables. Additionally, the waiter accidentally spilled the oysters onto a bed of salt, making them overly salty. Although the main courses were made with quality ingredients and cooked perfectly, the flavors were disappointing—the dishes were bland and the sauces lacked depth. Service also fell short; we had to ask for wine three times before it finally arrived halfway through our main course, and the waiter seemed more interested in blaming colleagues than offering an apology. Overall, Browne's has potential but needs considerable improvements to justify its prices.
