This has always been my favorite summer vacation spot whenever I visit Sebago and Naples. My drink of choice is definitely the strawberry daiquiris – I usually order four just for myself! The food has consistently been great, and the service has always been top-notch during my 20 years of visiting here seasonally in the warmer months. What Mya Grenier dislikes about Rick's Cafe:
$80 for two chicken quesadillas, two drinks, and a side of fries? Seriously? That's before tipping! The food is mediocre and the prices are high, although the view of the water is nice. I can't even comment on the service because there really isn’t any. Once you're seated, the only interaction you get is when someone quickly drops off your food and drinks. If you're looking to have a decent meal delivered to your table, you might as well go to Rick's.
First it has become a cashless restaurant- You must be computer literate to scan the menu, pay by CC and order for your self by your cell phone. The food is more like Pub style with Upscale Pricing When using their system, sometimes it works and then sometimes it doesn't. The food quality was not good with my fried fish my wife's Nachos. No Clams Or scallops any more everything is Fried.
I miss pre-pandemic Rick 's. I really do not like that the only way to order is via QR code menu ordering. The hostess seats you, but we didn 't see a waitress until we placed our order. We tried to order on each of our phones, for one tab, but the system wouldn 't allow it, so we passed one phone around to order that way. It 's also the only way to pay, as cash is not accepted. 18% gratuity is included on all bills/tabs. Our waitress was incredibly sweet attentive once we ordered thru the system. The patio is dog friendly she did bring a bowl of water out for my dog. A few other members of the staff also came out to say hello to Daisy. I miss some of the dishes they used to offer, it 's more pub food now. The view is the best part.
Husbands chowder and fish tacos were cold. Because you order on your own it's hard to find someone. The online ordering needs more attn for those who have questions all the way thru to drink choices. French fries not fresh. Chicken sandwich mushy. Kids Mac n cheese seemed like melted American cheese. To expensive for the mediocre food you get.
