**Dining at Yabba and Culinary Concepts: A Mixed Experience** Yabba's has drawn mixed reviews, with former patrons expressing disappointment over management issues and concerns about billing practices. Allegations of rudeness and questionable charges from the manager overshadowed dining experiences, prompting some to consider legal action. Meanwhile, Culinary Concepts' Pazzo Ristorante has also faced criticism for declining food quality and rising prices, marking a stark contrast to its historical reputation for excellence. However, other establishments within the Culinary Concepts umbrella, like Chops, have consistently provided great service and satisfying meals. Overall, while some guests cherish their visits, others are left feeling disillusioned.
We have enjoyed dining at, Culinary Concepts' Pazzo Ristorante on 5th Ave. for many years. The food was always of high quality and the prices were fair. Lately, however, the converse is true. In March, I ordered my favorite dish, Tuna Puttanesca, as I have for a few years and it came with the lowest quality Tuna, full of grizzle or veins. Nowhere else have I been served such garbage! I complained to the waiter, which is most likely as far as it went. In addition, the price was raised from $27.50 to $31.50. Last night, prior to attending a play we noticed that the price is now $36.00! Needless to say, I ordered a different dish, Chicken Aqua Limone, which turned out to be dry and tasteless. My wife's Grouper was not any better. We will not return to this establishment even though we have a Culinary Concepts Club Card.
Culinary Concepts was unable to provide proof that a $100 gift card had been used, stating it had a $0 balance. However, the card was sent to New Hampshire and only arrived in Naples last week. They've apparently lost all transaction history for the card! I had to fight to get them to put even $50 back on it. What kind of company can't keep track of a gift card? It's ridiculous!
The gift card promotion feels like a scam. The offer claims that you receive a $20 credit when you purchase a $100 gift card, but I sent a $250 gift card to a friend and still haven’t seen the credit. They refuse to honor my purchase because I made it two days before the promotion started, even though there was no clear indication that the promotion wasn't active at that time. Their website was promoting the gift card during that period. When I reached out for the $20 credit, my request was denied. This is extremely frustrating! If they truly understood customer behavior, they would realize that I would likely spend much more than that credit on food and drinks. I’m very disappointed and will not be returning to any of their restaurants!

This situation should never have escalated to that level, and it completely ruined our evening. Once we got home, I contacted my credit card company to review the charges from the restaurant. It turns out the manager, Keith Cronebach, deliberately charged us twice. This was not a mistake; it was completely illegal. I am considering taking further action on this matter, possibly involving an attorney.
