Thai-Lao is a low-key Thai-American bistro with friendly and efficient service. While the food may not be necessarily authentic Thai, dishes like the Pad Key Mao with shrimp stand out for their fresh and tasty flavors. The restaurant offers both meat-based and vegan options, with dishes like Panang curry and yellow curry with pumpkin and tofu receiving high praise for their taste and quality. The staff is knowledgeable about vegan food options and ensures that curry pastes are not premixed with fish sauce, making it a welcoming choice for vegan diners. Customers also appreciate the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff, making Thai-Lao a must-visit spot for delicious Thai cuisine in Myrtle Beach.
What TiaStreeterHutchins likes about Thai Lao:
Multiple vegetarian and vegan options. Staff was acquainted with vegan food options. Their curry pastes do not come pre mixed with fish sauce (this is a welcome change compared to most other Thai restaurants), but we did specify no fish sauce. Tom yum soup, veg spring rolls, green curry with tofu and yellow curry with pumpkin and tofu everything was spot on and outstanding! Best food of a week long trip. View all feedback.
