Was Mandakini D at Halcyon a mag?
Decent food in a vibrant atmosphere. Service was very attentive and quick. But we could still enjoy the dinner at our pace. Flat bread was nice and fresh. Coconut shrimp roll was decent, and calamari could use some love. Halcyon Tacos were good, too. Though nothing wowed us, we still had a pleasant evening with no complaints. The food was pretty good, but the service may have been a little lacking. It was very loud, and the tables seemed too close together for a pandemic. The waitress was very attentive. My wife got the Paella, which she said was very good, with and I gotthe burger. I was not impressed with the burger. Charming, luxurious, and undeniably high-end! I adored the atmosphere! Despite the restaurant being almost full, we were able to enjoy a private dining experience in a cozy corner. The service was efficient and the food was excellent! However, the kimchi fried rice wasn't to my liking, possibly due to my Indo-Chinese taste preferences. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience!

We had an amazing experience at HALCYON Montclair. I organized a bridal shower that was flawless from beginning to end. The staff was attentive, friendly, engaging, and extremely helpful. The food was beautifully prepared, plentiful, and absolutely delicious. Many guests raved that the chicken was the best they had ever tasted, others said the salmon was phenomenal, and a few couldn't stop talking about the pasta. Despite having several dietary restrictions, including celiacs, the staff handled everything like pros. The decor was fantastic and matched our theme perfectly. If you choose to have a party at HALCYON, you will not be disappointed. I am already looking forward to going back! This place is a great option for those with dietary restrictions, especially celiacs. We had five celiacs in our group and everyone was able to enjoy a delicious meal that catered to their needs.
Restaurant was ok. Waiter friendly. The prime rib was great with the sauce that it comes with. The side that came with was absolutely delicious. I think it was potato at the bottom, mushroom in the middle and cheese on top. The fish taco looked goodbut needed a little more flavor. There was an insect in my drink but i didn't know until i took it out of my mouth! It wasprobably hiding in the bottom. Drink was removed from the bill. A few people that we dined with had issues with their meal butit was corrected. Other than that, everything was fine.
What I LOVE about this place is NO DRESS CODE!!!! ???? I had the oysters and I am PICKY they were excellent!!! Staff was superb. I literally googled oysters and this place came up. I cannot wait to come back and bring friends. This is THE spot.
