Hands down my favorite restaurant in Milwaukee! The food is spectacular and the staff is an absolute blast! This used to be my favorite restaurant in Milwaukee, I told everyone to go eat here. Unfortunately, the food quality and menu offerings have gone down hill since my last visit. I ordered the spicy crab pasta. It had the slightest dusting of crab and the flavor got lost in the spicy sausage. The shallots in the mignonette sauce for the oysters tasted old and not fresh. The oyster mushroom app was just ok. I used to dine here and everything was exceptional. What happened? I'm so bummed.
Wow, what a hidden gem! Tucked away on a random corner in Bay View, Goodkind is definitely one of the best restaurants I've visited in the Milwaukee area. I stopped by for Sunday brunch and was seated immediately, though the restaurant wasbustling. If you've had the cocktails here, you understand why it was a semifinalist for the James Beard Award for best barprogram in 2022. Every drink was very creative and absolutely delicious. I ordered the lemon poppyseed cake and poutine as myentrees. The cake was perfect in its simplicity, I definitely recommend. The poutine was also excellent, and my waiter indicatedthat they apparently trial out a new recipe every week. I can't wait to come back and try their dinner menu!
Outside dining was spectacular, service was well timed and attentive, hand crafted grenadine made a stand out Shirley Temple (Kitty cocktail), and the entrees' ingredients were layered like perfume notes: subtle at first but together symphoniclyflavorful.
