Feedback
Based on various reviews, it seems that Third Eye in Millbrae is a hit or miss dining experience. Some customers have had disappointing meals with tough lamb shank, flat tonic, and dry rice, leading to an overall feeling of being overrated. However, others have enjoyed the spacious and quiet atmosphere, good food, friendly staff, and comfortable seating. The restaurant offers a diverse menu with flavorful dishes, featuring a mix of traditional and Himalayan twists. While some feel the cocktail menu could be improved, the overall consensus is that Third Eye is worth a try if you're in the mood for Indian cuisine near Millbrae.
Highly recommended! Authentic Quality At the monument I stepped in, I was very impressed with the layout of the place.
When you first walk in the restaurant.the lay out was weirdThe restaurant was DARK and as we were seated for a good two minutes..
Recently we were looking for a place to meet our son for dinner. I checked out Millbrae as it was about halfway between where we each live. We all love Indian food and the Himalayan twist was a nice surprise. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly and even the chairs were comfortable! From the standard chicken tikka masala to the goat curry everything was amazing. Our waiter was great about suggesting new items to try and there wasn't a bad choice among our dishes. Get several items and share for the full experience.
We dined here based on previous reviews. It was a Sunday evening and virtually empty. We were told it was the end of happy hour so I ordered a rum and tonic; couldn't drink it as the tonic was flat. We ordered a braised lamb shank, lamb saag, and eggplant in tomato sauce. The eggplant was good, the saag was just ok, not very flavorful. The lamb shank was a real disappointment; it should have been falling off the bone and instead it was very tough, we sort of had to hack it off the bone. When we mentioned this to the server he looked completely shocked, muttered something and then disappeared. We never saw him again. The accompaniments were basmati rice and naan. The naan was good but the rice was dry as dust. I would say this restaurant has been overrated. We would not come back.
