After swearing not to eat here again I ended up doing so the other day as my university friends insisted the food was nice. I should have trusted my gut after the last time I was there and received a bland dry veggie burger with...no salad or sauce. They ordered a full English and the bacon was undercooked, they said their sausages were poor quality and the ‘toast’ was basically warm bread. One friend ordered a cappuccino which was lumpy and undrinkable. I ordered a tuna panini which was actually a disgusting tuna baguette which the baguette was soggy and warm not even crispy and it was covered in a thick layer of cheap minging cheese. The only good side was my pint was a good pour. Safe to say I’m not wasting my money they on food again and I doubt my friends will either
Foreigners without a drink between them and had to go elsewhere to watch the footy. of us who like a beer cannot spend our own money here..
Went to the star on Sunday for the carvery and to be fair what excellent value for money it was!! meats for veg was lovely all fresh and home made meat was delicious couldn’t fault the place my only one tiny whinge...was that it could do with being a few degrees hotter as it goes cold quickly but really enjoyed it and the price is great we had dinners with meats and a gin and soft drinks for which is absolutely excellent value for money would highly recommend
