The Prince of Wales Hotel, known as 'The Prince', is a top pub in Newcastle known for its quality food and drinks, as well as its welcoming staff. After a major renovation, we are excited to offer a fresh new experience with a friendly and motivated team. The Prince of Merewether offers a mix of craft beers and classic pub food with a Mexican twist. Great location, recommend, food was great The only suggestion I could make is to have staff on the floor cleaning up and attending to customers.
After years of avoidance after the food dipped to a substandard level, we ventured to the new Prince of Wales restaurant, Cafe Prince.
I have just eaten one of the most mouth watering steaks I have had in a long time at Two Mules Mex-Americana restaurant inside The Prince of Wales Hotel, Newcastle. The "John Wayne" is a 300g strip loin, which I had with salad, rice and beans. Honestly, Mexican has never been my favourite due to a couple of bad experiences, but this dish was flavourful and beautifully spiced (I like a bit of heat - and this was great without being over done). A shout out to the staff as well, for their excellent service. Will absolutely be back!
Lovely lunch- staff very accommodating staff. We had a pram and that was no problem to them. Everyone enjoyed the food and having table service for drinks was an added bonus. Will definitely return
Had a fantastic lunch for two. The eye fillet steaks were cooked to perfection, lovely hand cut chips and green beans. Desserts were bombe Alaska and cocunut and orange cake. It was all delicious.
