**Dining Experience at Fourk: A Mixed Bag** Fourk presents a culinary journey that leaves diners feeling divided. While some praise its beautifully prepared dishes and inviting atmosphere, others express disappointment in service and menu limitations. The restaurant features a selection of intriguing options, with highlights such as the Hangar Steak and delectable scallops. However, vegan choices are notably sparse, and service can be slow and inattentive, detracting from the overall experience. Despite these inconsistencies, many agree that Fourk remains a worthwhile stop for its flavorful dishes and crafted cocktails, making it a potential favorite for future date nights and celebrations.
I saw a review before I said the food was overpriced and there is no good choice. It is not the cheesecake factory with a 15-page menu, but the burger, at $10 is more than a good reason to check the place. The menu options are interesting tasty and, in case of the $10 burger or $11 fish sandwich, quite plentiful. Entrances are a little on the expensive side, bit they are not just meat and two Veg combos. If you ever hesitate to try a Monday or Tuesday evening where there are usually very little waiting and give it a try. The decor is comfortable and tasteful. The beer selection is quite wide and also interesting cocktails on the menu.
We had a reservation. First person arrived and was waiting at bar. Second person arrived and they went to check in. It was over 10 minutes until someone came and seated us. Waitress was only one on floor and again, over 10 minutes when she came by to say she would be right with us after checking other party out. After 15 minutes wait barmaid came and took Oder. She took over waiting on us rest of evening. Again when other 2 joined us long wait to place drink order so we placed food order at same time. Good finally arrived and was good. We came back after not coming since Fourks opening where we experienced the same issues. Reason we came back was someone gave gift card. Owners or managers were seen walking back and forth from kitchen area to office but at no time did theses 2 gentlemen approach patrons or jump in and help. We went to oatio to see band and bar handled waiting on patrons well. There were children- obviously family clearing bottles and cups Definitely will only come for band but not for restaurant. All I can say is good luck- see this place not lasting with service like this- hope you can survive onbar traffic when band plays.
The meals were good, had the pecan crusted salmon and the shrimp and grits. Liked those, the sides were lacking. I was not convinced that the raspberry sauce was a good pairing with the salmon, but the grits and shrimp were great. We also got the Mule and they were fantastic! We were told they make their own ginger beer in house.
I was very impressed. The room is beautiful and the food was excellent. The appetizers were perfectly dimensioned and tasteful. My Hangar Steak was tasteful and masterfully prepared. My wife had the scallops and maybe they were the best scallops I've ever tried. Your The GBC cocktail can be my new favorite drink. Hendricks Gin, Basil, Cucumber. Perfection in a glass. Very recommended this restaurant. This will be a frequent stop for the wife and I on date nights.
Service and food came fast. I had the shrimps and grits....oooooo....wee it was delicious! Large shrimps with a beautiful tomato-based sauce over thick well cooked grains. My 2 pages I have chosen were roasted Broccoli and Mac
