Very filling lunch! Of course that could be because we accidentally ordered four meals instead of three. Oops! The crispy chicken burger was huge. Two nice thick pieces of juicy chicken with a really nice marinade. The crumbed calamari wasn’t as nice as the deep fried gluten free ones that’s just a personal taste thing. I think we went to Sweet Salt after receiving a brochure in the letterbox. We dined alfresco, which really isn't a great experience in most parts of High Street.The food was, in our opinion, average suburban fish and chips and nothing more.With many equally good fish and chip shops closer to home, we wouldn't bother going back. The BEST flake I've had, Ever! I don't know how they do it, but the battered fish is served crunchy and stays crunchy til you've finished eating.
After a big morning of swimming we decided to treat our daughter (coeliac) to some fish and chips. We had heard about Sweet Salt through the coeliac community but had never been here before. We probably brought more than we needed! We all loved the food and my daughter especially loved the gluten free potato cakes and dim sims. The rest of us had the burgers which were fantastic (I had the crispy barramundi burger).Service was great, clean and tidy and the chef did a great job talking his staff through what had to be cooked in desperate fryers etc. well done guys!

I didn’t notice any ‘table water’ which would have been really nice. Overall the food was hot and good, having so many Gluten Free options was amazing and the prices were pretty good too. Gluten and dairy free Fish and Chips joint.<br/ <br/ Ambience: The place is pretty retro and modern. It's pretty warm and the smell and feel of oil wasn't apparent.<br/ <br/ Service: The staffs serving us was really friendly, came to redeem a free meal from eatclub use my code C6AF1 and were told that we can only redeem two, which was what we did, and it was redeemed without a fuss. The food came out after a reasonable wait, though our grilled salmon took a while.<br/ <br/ Food: The battered whiting and blue grenadier fillets were pretty good, with the blue grenadier fishier among the two. The batter, since it's gluten free, were crispier than usual but in a good way and they werent too oily. Chips were meaty and crunchy as well, and salad was nice and refreshing. We enjoyed the salmon steak the most though, it was really fragrant and just the right doneness.
