Was Leila B at MAO Please a mag?
I had such a great night here, the dumplings were so delicious and the servers were so attentive and nice. And the Mao-inspired decor was hilarious. BYOB, so take yourself a bottle of choice poison and enjoy! View all feedback.
What Dylan Lewis dislikes about MAO Please:
I was invited for dumplings and thought it would be a dumping restaurant (the melbourne has many) but this was a very basic Chinese restaurant with about 2 loose dumplings (both or pfanne friend veg) available for veggies. I had pan friends and. an early dwarf pancake it really was 't much to write after home, but it was cheap. the place was quite back road skanky as in dirty. the menus were held together with glue t... Pretty good dumplings but squashy place and unpleasant service.<br/ <br/ We ordered on Ritual and were told that it was expected to be done by 7.30. Went at 7.30 and she shooed me off and told me to walk around and come back in 15 minutes. We came back after 15 mins and after waiting for another 10 mins, we were told our food was ready. Only to find out that she forgot our other order so we had to wait another 10 mins.<br/ <br/ The dumplings are actually pretty good, the filling is substantial and the dough is pretty good but they are a little expensive.
Ordered take-out, got the boiled pork dumplings. They were really nice and better than many that I've tried in Melbourne. Staff was friendly as well. Looking forward to coming back.
I believe Mao Please is one of the top choices in Chinatown. The dumplings in chili oil are especially delicious. I appreciate the cleanliness of this restaurant, and even though it may be a bit pricier than other places, I believe it is worth it for the sake of hygiene.
