What Anonym dislikes about Kisumé:
We had a wonderful time during our special evening meal. The service was excellent; however, we found the portions to be quite overwhelming. While it's clear that a lot of love and thoughtfulness went into the dishes, many of them contained too much rice, which overshadowed the delicate flavors of the seafood. The decor and ambiance gave off a vibe reminiscent of a dated 90s restaurant, similar to something out of th... View all feedback.
I never write reviews, but Kisumé was just amazing! The food was spectacular and the service was great (our waitress took our drinks off the bill because she said it took too long to make my cocktail). From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere was perfect chairs were comfy and there was no loud overbearing music so we could have a proper conversation. The food came out quickly and waiters were always within proximity to ensure we had everything we needed. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating a beautiful space with an ambiance offering a superb dining experience. By far one of the best places I’ve been to! Thank you for making our Valentine’s Day a special one!
Fabulous food and outstanding service. Loved the easy vibe downstairs.. Uni sushi and the chargrilled chicken thigh (chilli daikon!! were highlights for us, though every dish we chose was amazing. Ps Yuzu sake is heaven in a glass. Well done
Reached early so went upstairs to the bar and had a (warm) sake...to me the only way to drink sake!! The edamame accompaniment I ordered was excellent with its charred spices. Then to dinner and we had a bunch of the small plates...the freshness of the ingredients came thru every time and the plating was perfection. Amazingly for an Asian oriented restaurant, the desserts were great....the pineapple served 5 ways was to die for!!
Bro just save your money and go to Japan and eat 20 dollar sushi, it tastes the same and it costs about the same too. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1
The sushi was quite good and authentic, but overall the course menu was disappointing for a high-end Japanese restaurant. The Western-style dishes were especially underwhelming — the wagyu beef was dry and the sauce was overly salty. The cod was very plain and also too salty. For the price point and setting, the non-sushi courses fell far below expectations. We won’t be coming back. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: $120–140
