The Common Man is a bar/restaurant located in a great spot in the South Wharf Promenade. While the service might be lacking at times, the food is definitely the highlight of this venue. With affordable prices and tasty dishes, including gluten-free options, the restaurant offers a variety of tempting choices. The atmosphere is welcoming, with sports on the big screen and outdoor seating available, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. Overall, The Common Man is a place worth visiting for a delicious meal and a good time.
Not too much on food, but had a quick takeaway mocha after a shopping spree in the DFO and can't complain! Good service, not bad coffee.
Was enjoying a warm night out at the Outdoor cinema (Great idea)They have the usual beer choices here, with the food choices being average.
Kind of an odd restaurantThe staff was kind of aloofYou order and pay at the stand when you walk in The food arrived quickly but was fairly bland.
Our experience at this restaurant was not great. Despite having a menu with plenty of gluten-free options, the warnings on the menu were confusing. It was only when we tried to order that we were told that the food was not safe for those with celiac disease, despite the menu indicating otherwise. We decided not to take the risk and left without ordering.
I went to this restaurant for breakfast and inquired about whether they used a separate toaster for toast. They responded by saying they did not, and recommended that I not eat there if I have sensitivity to cross contamination. I should have heeded their advice and gone elsewhere. However, because I had planned to eat there based on recommendations, was short on time, and didn't want to inconvenience my friend by changing our plans, I agreed to have my toast prepared on the grill with clean utensils. The food was delicious, but unfortunately I ended up getting sick after eating there.
