Chef Chan provided a solid meal for my family of 15. We were pleased with the chicken balls, sesame chicken, chicken fried rice. Though tasty, the pepper beef was a lot of green peppers, not a lot of beef. Good egg rolls, the chicken wings...were mediocre and lemon chicken was okay, a good sauce but the filet style chicken was not the best. I recently ordered the Singapore rice noodles and was quite disappointed. They mostly tasted like noodles that were simply seasoned with turmeric. As for the General Tao, if he were as ineffective as our meal was, he would have surely lost the battle! The Sesame chicken was surprisingly bland—especially disappointing since it has been my favorite for years. The curry dish was a chaotic mess that left us wondering if it was even curry at all; if it weren't for its color, we wouldn't have recognized what we were eating. The shrimp dish was acceptable, but “acceptable” is what we expect from other restaurants, not from Chef Chan. Their house rice has always been reliable, but it isn't enough to win us back. I apologize for not including any pictures with this review; everything ended up in the trash because nobody wanted it! So, sorry Chef Chan, but next time we’ll be heading to Tangerine instead.
I used to live in Markham and often ordered from this restaurant. However, I returned this week and was extremely disappointed; the food was terrible and completely inedible.
The food here is amazing and the service is exceptional! I visit this restaurant at least twice a week!

The food was bland and lacked flavor. The chicken wings were tough and served cold, while the Cantonese chow mein had just two shrimp. The beef and green peppers dish contained only a few small pieces of beef. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.
