Seit fast 20 Jahren gehen wir mindestens 2 - 3 pro Jahr hier essen. Norbert Dobler schafft es aber immer noch, uns zu überraschen. Nie wird seine Küche langweilig. Seine Fischgerichte und die Saucen sind außergewöhnlich. Ja, hier gibt es keine Experimentierküche, doch wer braucht das, wenn er eine perfekt zubereitete Hochrippe vom US Rind dafür bekommt. eating was good, but not exceptional. I had higher expectations to a restaurant in this price level. the waiter was friendly but forget to open the French red wine before the main course arrived, which had the result that the wine got enough...air such mistakes can not happen with these high quality weeping. it was interesting to try this restaurant, but I think I would rather spend my money somewhere in the future. Great food, great wines, friendly service including in English, expensive but good value for money, downtown Mannheim
Came to lunch to celebrate my friend's birthday. the house front must be faster to welcome guests and sit them. my friend has booked a week in advance, but we got what I would call the nottical before the bar and next to the toilets. I appreciate that the place is busy, but the notable is for the last few minutes guests who are desperate. they served something very nice brot, but there was no attempt to remove the crumbs from the table between the curses. that is something I can expect from a restaurant with a first price. I had to fill my own weinglas. the employees didn't know how to deal with the guests, but that could just be the German one. we both had the "small menu." it was decent enough. the composition of the courses, in combination with the muse bouche, struck me as superior. they didn't really mix together. if you find yourself in this area of germany try baiken in eltville. great kitchen and great landscape.
They present rather traditional than over-modern elegant cuisine using high-quality ingredients. Family-owned and driven, this place has a 30-year history and lots of regular guests. For us, it was the first time, bur we liked it and will be back some time. The 5-course menu...at 98€ is noch cheap, but omitting any course (can be the dessert as well) brings it down to 84€ and is still more than sufficient. Nice wine recommendations as well.
Perfect for a special evening, exquisite dishes, lovingly and meticulously prepared, will give your taste buds a workout. But there was also plenty of filling side dishes. Highly recommended
Dobler's One of the few Michelin-starred restaurants open for lunch. They offer 3- and 4-course menus, as well as individual meals, especially for extended lunch breaks. You can preview the dishes in advance on the well-designed website. Reservations are also made through the website, which is easy, and response times are short. The restaurant is located directly behind the Kunsthalle (Art Gallery), or 500 meters from the Rose Garden and the Water Tower, which stands at the entrance to the Planken pedestrian zone. It's also a 500-meter walk from the main train station. If you don't mind the price, DOBLER'S is worth the trip! The ambience is clean and sober, allowing you to indulge in indulgence with joy. The chef and his team have been able to defend their Michelin-star once again, for the umpteenth time! The entire service is plentiful, extremely courteous, competent, and the interaction was almost affectionate. Everyone there strives to give you a good time, so DOBLER'S stays in your mind and heart , at least for us. Give DOBLER'S a chance, and I'm firmly convinced you won't be disappointed.
