Food and atmosphere are generally good. But it’s hard to enjoy your time when the service is so slooooow. Waiting 30 minutes for a coffee drink when there’s 4 people standing around talking in the kitchen isn’t great. I love the wren. It’s the one place in the area to get quality food and drink. Outstanding staff and delicious menu: sandwiches, soups, bakery and cafe beverage items. Love the outdoor patio. Beautiful setting, relaxing and pet friendly. The new indoor Common Room is also coming together nicely. Situated just off the Gandy and the Hwy for easy access.

This is an amazing little cafe, worth a detour and a must-visit if in the area. We were in town hiking on the Ice Age Trail, needed a really good lunch, and had the most delicious and satisfying meal here. The service was friendly and our food was incredibly fresh and delicious. The menu is small but ambitious with options for everyone. I had the roasted chicken banh mi and it was so flavorful. The bread they use is incredible; crisp on the outside but then so soft once you bite in. I would go out of my way to return here. Lots of seating, very clean, wholesome atmosphere, and extremely good food. Thank you!!!
