Joe's Italian Restaurant is one of the most revered places here in the Hammond area. I don't know anyone who had bad food or service. They make dipping sauces for the endless fresh baked rolls which is given to every table. The bread is wonderfully dense and very tasty along with the white, red or pink sauces offered. What The G doesn't like about Joe's Italian Ponchatoula:
The atmosphere was good. They were out of cheese sticks. Our waiter took our order, then spent at least 10 minutes talking to people at another table (they were eating…it appeared he was friends with them). We had to ask for more bread, and then he said “let me go put in their order” (to the other people). The lobster tasted fishy, so my daughter wouldn't eat it. Wasted money. View all feedback.
