This is one of the best spots in San Luis Obispo County for playing pool. Some serious players come here for intense games on the green felt. I assessed the man’s condition, checked his pulse, and assisted him as best as I could, offering him my remaining water. It was clear that he was in distress, both mentally and physically. To my dismay, rather than providing him help, they called the police. I couldn't help but feel that his race, being African American, played a role in how he was treated.
