Colbert is a chic brasserie located in Sloane Square that offers an all-day menu with prices to match its trendy ambiance. The food is accomplished if not exceptional, with generous portion sizes and a nice selection of desserts. The service is top-notch, with the added touch of allowing guests to taste wines before committing to them. Some dishes, like the Lemon Sole, can be hit or miss, but overall the experience is enjoyable. The restaurant exudes a Parisian vibe and is perfect for a variety of occasions, from family brunches to business dinners. While the prices reflect the upscale location, Colbert offers good value for the quality of food and service provided. Plus, the atmosphere and decor transport diners to the charm of a traditional Parisian bistro in the heart of London. Recommended dishes include the onion soup, which is a standout option on the menu. Reservations are advised, especially during peak hours, to ensure a pleasant dining experience at Colbert.
What p likes about Colbert:
Colbert is like stepping into a classic Parisian bistro from the 70s or 80s. The atmosphere and staff were delightful, and I enjoyed spending some time at the bar with a delicious old fashioned cocktail. The madeleines were savory and tasty, and the eggs royale were beautifully presented. I would recommend Colbert to anyone missing a taste of France in London. View all feedback.
What Rishi B doesn't like about Colbert:
The food here was good the steak and the goujons. However, over £50 per person for one main, one side and one non alcoholic drink is definitely overpriced. The chips arrived and were cold, so we had to send back (which was no trouble). The table was booked for 6 but we were not seated for until around 615 620. Overall, tasty meal but not quite the best.
