Description
Cielo is a Coffee House that was previously known as Baraka in Garforth. We now operate under the name Cielo and have locations at Main Street Garforth, a small Express in the library at Garforth, and a new store in Cross Gates Shopping Centre. As a social enterprise, all profits from our coffee shops benefit the local area, while profits from our roaster support doctors in Ethiopia working to cure Club Foot in young children. We offer a volunteer scheme that includes opportunities for a range of individuals, from those seeking DofE and school placements to individuals with special needs and those looking to re-enter the workforce.

Cielo Café offers a charming atmosphere and quality coffee, with many praising its consistently excellent brews and delectable treats. Regulars appreciate the friendly staff and community-focused ethos, often enjoying unique menu items like the strawberry hot chocolate and chicken pesto flatbread. However, some recent visits revealed service inconsistencies and minor disappointments with drink quality. Despite these hiccups, Cielo remains a favored spot for friendly gatherings, quick lunches, or leisurely coffee breaks, inviting patrons to experience its inviting décor and warm ambiance. Many look forward to returning, hopeful for a return to the café's usual high standards.
The first time I visited this place, it was amazing. we had a great coffee, hot chocolate and cake. it was quality products, tasteful and there was a beautiful atmosphere. the second time we visited today, we were not so impressed. the white hot chocolate. tasted not much, except warm milk (it would have been better hot too) and the coffee was not as good as the first time as it was a little bitter. we were also disappointed that dogs were not loud when we saw on instagram that the owners had a dog in the caffe, so thought this was a dog-friendly caffe. we love the decoration and ethos of caffes. but unfortunately we will not be running again after today.
The interiors stay ok. my coffee was really unpleasant as if the machine needed clean. we decided to sit outside. it was dirty, very dirty and dirty.
A very good service and unorganized team to say the least. order by the app and waited minutes. then we asked ourselves where our coffees should be said that they were very busy and we would be done next. but the people who come for pickup orders that have ordered after we order there first receive within minutes. after minutes we received our order only to realize that my partner had received the wrong coffee. that was then sent back and needed a few minutes to get the right order. When my partner got his coffee, I finished mine. to complete it, the coffees were very warm. while other tables complained whether the wrong commands were received or the waiting time was ridiculous. After I was told big things about this load, both I and my partner were very disappointed to say the least and will not return again.
I am pleased to see the owners are actively responding to feedback and maintaining quality standards, so thank you for that. My partner and I enjoy getting takeaway coffees here as we love supporting independent coffee shops. While we didn't particularly enjoy the taste of our flat white on this visit - as it had a slight off taste similar to sour milk - we still appreciate the overall experience and will likely return in the future.
I absolutely adore this place. The coffee is amazing, and I recently tried the chicken pesto flatbread, which was absolutely delectable! I highly recommend this place. My only wish is that they could allow dogs in the winter. However, in the summer, they have an outdoor area specifically for dogs.
