Le Charleston - Le Mans

What Marthe Salmon likes about Le Charleston:
24 hour Le Mans weekend. Stayed at Etap last year - very basic but fine and cheap if all you need is a bed. This year went for Le Charleston (previously Emeraude). Good "family type feel" hotel, friendly staff who's English is good (if your french isnt much). Rooms small but clean and well decorated (just has a refurb?). Good breakfast buffet. 5 mins walk from the station so is easy for trams to the circuit and also a 10 min stroll to centre of town for the restaurants. There are also few bars close by. We will def. go back.

What René Leclerc doesn't like about Le Charleston:
Popped in here whilst in transit down south. On first night of the holiday so function rather than finesse was required. All were indecisive about what they wanted to eat - so when in doubt, get the burgers out. Tasty milkshake and a Leffe Blonde are always a good accompaniment to a decent burger (and the burger was decent); service was quick and friendly.
