Hello welcome to Geraldo's! We are proud to be Ayrshire's first and only 5-Star Tourist Shop, nestled in the stunning seaside town of Largs on The Shiel Route within The Coig. As a family-run establishment, we take immense pride in producing our own award-winning ice cream right here on-site. At Geraldo's, we specialise in handmade chocolates, premium spirits, gift hampers, and a delightful range of unique and unusual gifts that change with the seasons, ensuring that there’s always something new to discover. Located in Largs, Geraldo's stands out with its delicious vegan options, including creamy chocolate ice cream and refreshing sorbet. While the staff are consistently friendly and attentive, there seems to be a decline in variety, with recent visits showing limited options compared to previous offerings. On sunny days, their coconut flavor is particularly delightful, and the availability of vegan wafer cones enhances the experience. Despite some disappointment over the reduced selection, Geraldo's remains a promising choice for vegan ice cream enthusiasts navigating the local culinary scene.
I enjoyed an amazing chocolate ice cream served in a waffle cone, topped with chopped nuts and a wafer. The staff was excellent, ensuring that everything was vegan-friendly by double-checking all the ingredients. This was the best vegan ice cream I've ever tasted, and it was also very affordable!
There are a lot of places offering ice cream on a sunny beach day in Largs, but Geraldo's was the only one we found which labels vegan flavours. Plus, they have vegan wafer cones. Coconut tastes really nice and is perfect on a hot day! Some more flavours (why no sorbets?? would be very nice though
I had a small scoop of the vegan chocolate ice cream. It was delicious and so rich in flavour! Basically tasted like cold melted chocolate.
We tried Nardini's for vegan ice cream when visiting Largs but were disappointed they only had sorbet as the vegan options. So we decided to try Geraldo's. They only had vegan chocolate ice cream but the sprinkles were vegan too and it was yum. Just across road from where you get on/off the ferry to Millport.
While the big ice cream places in Largs only had sorbet for vegans, Geraldo's had a vegan chocolate plus raspberry sorbet in pride of place. Staff knew exactly which cones were vegan too.
