great coffee. delicious mandel croissants. However, the cook should use the right croissant recipe. tried like a soft roll and not a croissant. but the filling was delicious. the image shows them the croissant recipe needs work. View all feedback.
What Koshkha dislikes about Java Lounge:
We were over-heating on a hot Sunday afternoon and had just been round the Dutch Hospital so we popped in to take advantage of the sofas and the air con. The iced coffees were good but at pretty much European level pricing which seemed rather over the top. You can get a three course meal in many local places for the cost of one of their fancier iced coffees. Clean, comfortable and good service. But you pay for it. View all feedback.
This is the best coffee I have had in Sri Lanka so far! I usually enjoy drinking Americanos, which are typically very bitter and sour, but this one was perfect. The staff was also very friendly. While the price is a bit higher than other places, it is definitely worth it for a great cup of coffee in the morning.
Walking into this coffee shop and smelling cooking grease instead of coffee is really off-putting. The smell of grease is overpowering. The prices for coffee are high, as is typical in Sri Lanka. The quality of the coffee is decent compared to other places in the country, but falls short when compared to international standards.
We waited for an hour for our food, despite being told it would be ready in 5 minutes multiple times. To be fair, the cashier originally informed us there would be a 30-minute wait. However, when our breakfast eventually arrived, it did not match the description on the menu.
