We absolutely love Dan's! Whenever we're visiting family, we make it a point to stop by since we live out of town. What Ivy Beier doesn't like about Dan's Variety Bakery:
Only cash. Strange hours. Don't answer phones. Basically, they make it as uncomfortable as possible. I had the donuts before and you okay. Not really sure what the hype is about. I think they rely on people who say it's the best all the time, but compared to what? There is not really someone else in the city (except Jack's Donuts), so everyone tells her the best.
